Content Watch missed blocking several sites it should have caught.  This resulted in our listing it’s Web protection as “average.”  there is a black-list and white-list function (similar to those in all the programs we tested) that will allow users to follow-up and block any holes.  The damage is usually done by the time an offensive site is found.  Content Watch users should check and increase the category settings if you think that's necessary. We found the default settings to be a bit low, especially for teens who often face an overwhelming amount of temptation.

Content Watch excelled in the “ease of use” category.  It was intuitive and easy to navigate.  It blocked all major peer-to-peer programs, had live reporting, allowed remote access to reports (see what sites your kids are visiting while you are away).  Content Watch also had free tech support and a toll-free number.  You will receive an email you when a violation occurs. However, we didn’t receive the email in question until two hours after the offense in our testing. This may not be a typical result.

This is a good program overall. But, it needs improvement on the effectiveness of its filtering.
